On the Golte plateau, what’s good for the body is also beneficial for the soul. So, choose one of the many hiking trails and immerse yourselves in the fresh summer. Discover the wild alpine animals and find out which mountain flower awaits you in the Alpine Garden. The Rabbit Trail is the easiest trail on the Golte plateau and is also suitable for parents with children and furry family members. The first stop is the artificial lake, just in time for the first snacks from your rucksack. From there, you’ll head on to the small chapel, the mountain hut Mozirska ko\u010da, and the Alpine Garden.

The Bear Trail is slightly longer than the Rabbit Trail, however, the visitors of both trails often come across one another during the hike. In addition to all the \u201crabbit\u201d views and stops, the Bear Trail also includes a visit to the monument to the National Liberation War (NOB).

The Chamois Trail is suitable for hikers in good shape, as the hike is over 2 hours long. The trail branches off the Bear Trail at the hut Stari stani, taking you to the Ledenica cave and the Jezerca lakes. You will rejoin the other trails at the chapel.

It is the longest, yet most popular trail on the Golte plateau. It shows you just about everything the plateau has to offer. As the hike is somewhat long, check your rucksacks, the weather forecast and the daily menu at your favourite hotel before heading out.

On this trail you will reach the Javorca lookout point and the lookout tower on top of the plateau, with stunning views of the Kamnik-Savinja Alps. As this is a slightly steeper trail, don’t forget your hiking poles and flask, which will come in handy at the first signs of fatigue.

If you’re willing to cover 850 metres of ascent, then this is the right challenge for you. The trail starts at the lower station of the \u017dekovec cable car. You’ll walk through fragrant forests, past cool streams and friendly farms. Of course, back at the hotel you’ll make up for all the calories you’ve burnt along the way.
